New York State Bar Association's Description of Award

"Each year, the award recognizes an attorney who has actively practiced less than 10 years and has a distinguished record of commitment to the finest traditions of the bar through public service and professional activities. Pro bono service, service to bar associations and community organizations and participation in activities that enhance the profession and benefit the public are examples of how nominees can fulfill the award criteria. 'Each year the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year award honors a young attorney who exemplifies the best qualities of what it means to be a law practitioner today.
